All data you create โ cookbook archives, scanned page images, OCR text, corrected transcriptions, family stories, keywords, and notes โ is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's standard Application Support directory.
The app requests permission to use your camera so you can scan cookbook pages. It requests permission to access your photo library so you can import recipe photos you've already taken.
These images are processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework for text recognition (OCR). No image data, no OCR output, and no metadata is ever sent off your device.
All text recognition is performed locally using Apple's built-in Vision framework. The app does not connect to the internet at any point during normal use.
